Sometimes, You Just Begin.
Not every new beginning needs a grand ambition.

It Started With a Cup of Tea.
Bupinder Pal Singh Jaggi loves tea. Not as a market. As a cup, held with both hands, on an ordinary afternoon.
His family comes from Bandipora, in north Kashmir, and marriage tied him to the valley once more. So when Palsee Kashmir took shape, it started with the tea he would pour for a guest. Kahwa was the obvious first chapter.
Starting Again Is Still Starting.
Life rarely follows the plan you make for it. Over the years he has tried different things. Some worked. Some did not. Some became something quite different from what he first imagined.
There comes a point when starting something new no longer needs to prove anything. Palsee Kashmir is that kind of beginning.

- Founder
- Marketer
- Tea Lover
- Still Curious
A marketer by trade, a tea lover first. If you would like to say hello, write to him.
If it works, wonderful. If it doesn’t, no regrets.
If thousands of people come to love it, wonderful. If it stays a small project that brought a few good things into a few good homes, that is fine too.
What matters is that it was started.
A short list we intend to keep.
- 01
Choose things you would happily use yourself.
If it would not be in our own kitchen, it is not on this site.
- 02
Respect where they come from.
Kashmir is not a backdrop. It is the reason.
- 03
Don’t pretend to be bigger than you are.
Two products. One founder. That is the truth of it, for now.
- 04
Tell their story honestly.
What is on the pack is what is in the pack. Nothing more is claimed.
- 05
Keep discovering.
There is a great deal more to Kashmir than tea and chilli.
Kashmir was first.
Tell us about yours.
Kashmir is home ground, so it begins here, with the valley's artisans: we sell what they make, and half of our profit on it goes back to them, so the crafts at risk of dying out are worth doing again. If a community elsewhere has something it is proud of and wants to bring it here the same way, we would be glad to hear from you.
Start with a cup.
Kahwa is where Palsee Kashmir began. It is a good place for you to begin too.
